David Moyes hasn’t even been West Ham boss for a full 24 hours and he’s already managed to get the club’s supporters onside by calling Toni Martinez into his first-team squad.
Moyes was officially appointed on a contract until the end of the season earlier today, following the decision to sack Slaven Bilic on Monday, and it seems the former Everton and Manchester United boss has been watching the Hammers squad closely.

Martinez has been making waves in the club’s Under-23 side this season, where he has managed to score an impressive 24 goals in his last 23 appearances, but the 20-year-old striker has yet to be given a chance in the club’s senior squad.
However, as he revealed on his Twitter account this afternoon, Moyes appears ready to give him the opportunity he’s been craving – and fans are over the moon about it:

He might take a lot of stick, but this is surely a clever decision by Moyes, no?
