Jamie Carragher is a Liverpool legend after spending his entire career at the club.
The Sky Sports pundit came through the youth ranks on Merseyside before making his senior debut in 1996 and going on to make over 700 appearances in a career spanning 17 years.
However, it is no secret that the former defender grew up supporting the Reds’ rivals across Stanley Park.
And the 39-year-old hit back at Toffees supporters who unveiled a banner that read: “Carragher Stinks of Piss”.
Carragher posted a screengrab of the banner to his Instagram account and wrote: “A dream as a kid for the blues to have a banner in my name!”
Everton crashed out of the Europa League with two games remaining after a 3-0 hammering away to Lyon.
The Goodison Park outfit are currently without a manager after saving Ronald Koeman and could face a relegation dogfight unless they start to pick up points in the immediate future.
