Manchester United are set to take their away kit in a bold new direction next season – by releasing the club’s first-ever pink strip.
As we told you last week, the Red Devils’ current black alternate strip is the fastest-selling in United history, making the mammoth sponsorship deal with Adidas look like money well spent.
And it seems like the German kit manufacturers are keen to make a splash in the 2018/19 season too and, according to the usually reliable uniform website Footy Headlines, the United away kit will combine a pale pink base with a slightly less pale shade of the colour and, finally, black for accents.
Apparently, the idea is derived from the Manchester Evening News’s ‘Football Pink’ section, which used to be printed on light pink paper.

The new design is expected to be released in May 2018 – but what do you think supporters will make of the interesting new colour scheme?
Would you buy it?
