Dominic Solanke has been called-up to the senior England squad and the country’s fans have absolutely no idea why or how the decision was made.
Following the 0-0 draw with Germany on Friday night, Gareth Southgate’s men will take on the mighty Brazil on Tuesday, where Liverpool striker Solanke could very well make his full debut.
Feel incredibly blessed and honoured to get called up to the @England Senior Squad! Thanks for all the messages!???.

Following the withdrawals of Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph and Jordan Henderson, Southgate has been forced to name an experimental squad but turning to Solanke has still caused many raised eyebrows.
The 20-year-old was awarded the Golden Ball as player of the tournament during the summer’s Under-20 World Cup, where he bagged four goals, but that’s still not enough for some fans:
How does Solanke warrant a call up over DCL England are a fucking joke https://t.co/kKQFc7S6ll

They probably been ringing the wrong number still then got impatient and called up Solanke

The inclusion of Lewis Cook and Dominic Solanke in the England squad with no place for Jonjo Shelley is absurd @GarethSouthgate

Solanke called up ahead of Calvert-Lewin ??
No wonder England are so hard to get behind.— Lee McEFC83 (@LeeMcClean83) November 12, 2017
How easy is it to get an England call up these day, Dom Solanke, a striker has scored 0(Zero) goals in English football and he’s in the squad, I remember a time when Andy Cole and Robbie Fowler were just squad members. https://t.co/BCUag7U2xd

Really don’t get how Solanke has got a call up over Wilshere or Gray https://t.co/pl2nwojlem

Absolute madness how that Solanke's been called up for England but Calvert-Lewin hasn't ?

If solanke is what we have to turn to, England are in a bad place ATM. Glenn Murray deserves it more ?

Billy Bonds and Steve Bruce play whole career without an England cap and they deserved it. Solanke plays 2 games. Called up. All for youth learning young but REALLY #coyi

Solanke hasnt even racked up a total of 90 minutes, Cook hasnt played at all up until the last handful of games then was back on the bench, Gunn's only taste of first team football is 16 games on loan for a 13th placed championship team with a negative goal difference.

It says something for our national side that we bring the likes of cook and solanke in to add to Abraham, Maguire, cork, Livermore. We gotta accept we are bang average. Yes we have the best league but it’s because of the overseas players!!

Seriously @England… Cook, Solanke & Gunn ????? #ThreeLions

Solanke 7 caps for Liverpool and Gunn 16 caps for Norwich both in the senior England squad.
Leaving my phone on just in case Southgate calls.

It seems the likes of Jack Wilshere and Dominic Calvert-Lewin would have been more favourable call-ups ahead of Solanke – but what do you think?
