Spurs fans watched their side go behind at home to West Brom this afternoon after just four minutes – and it appears to be Dele Alli who is taking the brunt of the criticism on social media.
After winning away at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, you would have thought a 3pm kick-off against a struggling West Brom side would’ve been a piece of cake for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, but Salomón Rondón’s early strike soon put paid to that.
The Venezuelan striker coolly slotted the ball home after a very odd piece of play by Alli – and after watching this several times over, we still have absolutely no idea what he was trying here:

Generally speaking, Alli isn’t enjoying too great a season – certainly not compared to his last two campaigns for Spurs, and it definitely looks like supporters are noticing the drop-off in form:
