Tony Cascarino is Taking an Absolute Pounding From Celtic Fans Today

Tony Cascarino is taking an awful lot of stick from Celtic supporters today after playing down their achievements whilst acting as a pundit on radio.

The former Republic of Ireland international actually played for the Hoops during the 1991/92 season but was generally regarded as a flop after the striker scored only four league goals in 24 league appearances.

It seems Cascarino still keeps an eye on things north of the border, however, and he appears to have some strong feelings on Brendan Rodgers’ side’s achievements over the past 12 months or so.

Appearing as a guest on Jim White’s afternoon talkSPORT show, Cascarino claimed Celtic going unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership last season was the equivalent of winning England’s League One title:

As you can probably imagine, his comments haven’t exactly gone down too well with the club’s fanatic fanbase:
