Antonio Rudiger has only been in England a few months, but he’s already down with what’s hot on the music scene.
Grime has went through a major breakthrough period over recent years with the mainstream success of many artists, including Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Skepta and Stormzy.
Big Shaq is someone who’s satirised that mainstream grime rise, delivering a brilliant ‘Man’s Not Hot’ rap on Charlie Sloth’s Fire in the Booth on BBC Radio 1.
And the viral response to that led him to release a song that’s now massively popular with parts of the public – including Rudiger apparently.
Chelsea TV grabbed some footage from training yesterday ahead of their side’s Champions League game against Qarabag tomorrow which included the German international rapping and dancing to ‘Man’s Not Hot’.
If you listen carefully, you can just about hear him rap:

That shows you just how big Big Shaq is when a German footballer with less than five months experience of living in England is already aware of his hit song.
