Villarreal are firmly in the hunt for top spot in Group A after taking an early lead against Slavia Prague through Carlos Bacca.

The La Liga giants are currently stuck in second spot, behind their hosts from the Czech Republic.

However Villarreal look set to leapfrog the leaders… if they can hold onto the advantage earned through a lovely flowing move.

The Yellow Submarine passed the ball around Slavia Prague’s box, mercilessly toying with their opponents until goalkeeper Jan Laštůvka stepped in.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper managed to get a hand on the low cross, a seemingly last-ditch attempt to break up the move.

Ex-AC Milan striker Bacca was waiting in the wings though… and his acrobatic finish left Laštůvka with no chance:

Villarreal’s good form stretches beyond their matches in European competition, with Javier Calleja’s team just three points behind both Real and Atletico Madrid in the La Liga table.
