Ruben Loftus-Cheek is already a better player than Cesc Fabregas, according to former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton.

Loftus-Cheek made plenty of headlines after putting in a seriously impressive performance on his full England debut against Germany on Friday night and has been tipped as a star of the future for some time at his parent club Chelsea.

He’s been loaned out to Crystal Palace this season, and has already been one of the Eagles’ best players in the Premier League – leading to Sutton’s claim that perhaps he should have been kept at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte allowed Loftus-Cheek to leave the Blues last summer, as well as fellow youngsters Nathan Ake, Nathaniel Chalobah and Dominic Solanke and, speaking as a pundit on BBC Radio 5Live tonight, Sutton has made a bold claim about just how good Loftus-Cheek already is:

Is the 21-year-old already as good as, or better than, World Cup winner Cesc Fabregas?

What do you think?
