Video: Northern Ireland Penalty Decision Turned Colin Murray into a Very Angry Man

Switzerland came away with a 1-0 victory in last night’s World Cup qualifying play-off with Northern Ireland… a result which left Colin Murray absolutely furious after the referee awarded the hosts with a questionable penalty.

The BBC Radio 5 Live presenter was at Windsor Park when Ovidiu Hategan pointed to the penalty spot, having came to the conclusion that Northern Ireland defender Corry Evans had handled the ball in the box.

Social media was immediately bombarded with fans slamming Hategan’s mysterious decision, while manager Michael O’Neill described the call as “staggering”.

However, you haven’t heard anything yet if you’ve not came across Murray’s heartbreaking commentary on the decision.

The former Match of the Day 2 host claimed it was a night from “the dark ages”, adding that no supporter in England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland or even Switzerland believes Hategran made the right call:
