Gini Wijnaldum gave Liverpool’s YouTube channel a unique insight into his life outside of the pitch recently, with the midfielder admitting to buying Primark socks and having met Big Shaq.
Wijnaldum is becoming a strong fan-favourite with the Anfield faithful, having joined the club from Newcastle United last season.
And despite the big move to an elite Premier League side, Wijnaldum comes across as both likeable and down to earth in the video posted by Liverpool’s channel.
The Netherlands international tells host David Vujanic that he buys Primark socks in bulk, refuses to cook at home, has met Man’s Not Hot singer Big Shaq and enjoys watching Netflix show Narcos in his free time:
Despite suffering a knee injury toward the end of October, Wijnaldum played for the Dutch national team against Scotland last week.
Wijnaldum’s involvement during the international break means he’s likely to be in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for this weekend’s match against Southampton.
