Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland found out this week that he has better reflexes than Juventus’ legendary stopper Gianluigi Buffon in FIFA 18.

Butland broke his finger while on international duty with England earlier this month, meaning the 24-year-old is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines.

Unsurprisingly Stoke have tumbled to 16th place in the Premier League table during his absence, a decline which featured a heavy 3-0 defeat to Liverpool last night.

However, the time off appears to have allowed the former Birmingham player to get himself acquainted with FIFA 18.

And his knowledge of the popular video game was clear for all to see during a recent chat with Soccer AM.

Butland is asked to compare the world’s top keepers during his conversation with Adam Smith, before guessing correctly that he has better reflexes than the legendary Buffon:

With Italy failing to qualify for next summer’s World Cup in Russia, Buffon bid a tearful goodbye to international football in order to focus on extending his career with Juve.

However, in a dramatic U-turn, the 39-year-old told reporters this week that he could never turn down a call to come back and play for his national team, even when he’s 60-years old.
