James Forrest made it back-to-back Betfred Cup Final goals as he opened the scoring for Celtic against Motherwell.
The Hoops winger appeared to be the only real bright spark for the holders as they struggled against an organised Well side in the first half.
He didn’t score and couldn’t help a teammate open the scoring either, but his pace down the right was a big problem for Charles Dunne and was a sign of what was to come in the early stages of the second half.
Forrest needed just four minutes of the second period to produce the decisive moment, brilliantly curling into the bottom corner with his left foot to send the Celtic support wild.
And it comes a year after his goal against Aberdeen in the 2016/17 Betfred Cup Final:

It’s brilliant from Callum McGregor to create the chance for Forrest and the winger’s finish with his bad foot is even better.
Celtic have since made it 2-0 thanks to Moussa Dembele’s penalty – which came after Cedric Kipre’s debatable pull on Scott Sinclair in the box.
