Astana striker Junior Kabananga has scored the first goal of match day six in the Europa League… and it may be the best of the lot.

The Kazakhstan Premier League champions surprisingly topped Group A before kick-off, with Villarreal, Slavia Prague and Maccabi Tel-Aviv struggling to keep up with the pace-setters.

However, Kabananga has proved it is no mere fluke that Astana are leading the way after five matches, as he scored a beautiful curling goal from distance to give the hosts a 1-0 lead over Villarreal.

The goal came after the visitors, who are currently 6th in the Spanish La Liga, failed to clear their lines.

With the ball eventually falling to Kabananga on the edge of the area, the Congo international made no mistake as he let rip at the Villarreal goal:

However, the Yellow Submarine haven’t hung about in netting what could be a crucial equaliser, with Daniel Raba scoring before the half-time interval.
