Video: Leigh Griffiths Ties Scarf Around Hampden Post After Cup Win

Leigh Griffiths tied a Celtic scarf around a Hampden post after their Betfred Cup Final win over Motherwell this afternoon.

The Hoops frontman was a second-half substitute as Brendan Rodgers’ men won 2-0 thanks to James Forrest and Moussa Dembele goals.

Griffiths didn’t have any real impact on the game apart from hitting the post with a late chance.

But he made an impact for the supporters after the game when he carried on his record for tying a scarf around a post after a big result.

Griffiths has done it before – against Rangers at Ibrox as well as Linfield at Windsor Park at the beginning of this season.

And now he’s added one Hampden post to it too:

As you can hear from the cheers, the Celtic supporters loved seeing Griffiths and the scarf.

And they’ll continue to enjoy the post-match reaction to the final as the Hoops won the first of what they hope will be a treble again this season.

Today’s result makes it 65 games unbeaten for the champions and it’s going to take a big performance to stop them extending that run and making a play for six major trophies in a row.
