Video: Malky Mackay Had No Idea Stewart Regan Ruled Him Out of Scotland Job

Scotland were beaten by the Netherlands at Pittodrie tonight in Malky Mackay‘s first match as interim manager, but it’ll be his first and last according to Stewart Regan – much to Mackay’s surprise.

Mackay is currently the SFA’s Performance Director but was given the job of taking tonight’s friendly against the Dutch after Gordon Strachan’s sacking last month, but he could only watch on from the sidelines as Memphis Depay scored the only goal of the game.

Before kick-off, SFA supremo Regan has gone public and claimed Mackay would not be considered for the manager’s job on a full-time basis, but the former Cardiff and Watford boss seemed pretty surprised to hear those comments when he spoke to Sky Sports after full-time:

The likes of Cesare Prandelli, Alex McLeish and Sam Allardyce have all been linked with the Scotland manager’s job – but should Mackay been considered too?

What do you think?
