Video: Plenty of Fans Think Celtic’s Penalty Award Against Motherwell Was Very Lucky

Celtic‘s unbeaten run continued tonight against Motherwell after a late penalty saved them from defeat – but the award looks to be a tad on the lucky side, to say the least.

The Hoops went into the match at Fir Park knowing they could extend their streak to a whopping 66 games if they avoided a loss against the team they beat 2-1 in the Betfred Cup final on Sunday but when Mikael Lustig put through his own goal on 78 minutes, it looked as though Brendan Rodgers was about to taste domestic defeat for the first time in Scotland.

But they’re not the Scottish Champions for nothing and they soon rallied in the closing stages – and Callum McGregor was awarded a spot-kick in the 88th minute.

But, in this angle, it looks dubious to say the least – and a lot of onlookers seem to agree:

What do you think of the penalty? Have Celtic got off with one at Fir Park?
