Ray Parlour was tasked with naming his combined Arsenal–Tottenham XI ahead of tomorrow’s North London derby and the Gunners legend’s team was surprisingly dominated by Spurs players.
Parlour made over 300 appearances for Arsenal between 1992 and 2004, winning three league titles, four FA Cups and plenty of individual plaudits along the way.
However, despite his loyalties unquestionably lying on the red side of north London, the 44-year-old couldn’t escape how strong Tottenham have been in recent seasons when naming his combined side.
Parlour gave the nod to seven Spurs players, including Hugo Lloris, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.
Meanwhile only four of Arsene Wenger’s players made the grade, with Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez all listed.
And it could have been even worse for the Arsenal contingent, with Parlour telling TalkSPORT, he’d have went for Kyle Walker over Bellerin had the England international not left for Manchester City in the summer:

Who would make your combined XI? And would you follow Parlour’s lead and go Tottenham heavy?
