Allardyce is being closely linked with the Toffees job, as they currently sit in the relegation zone following a disastrous start to the Premier League season.
And with results showing little sign of improvement, the former Sunderland gaffer could be drafted in to help the team avoid what would be a humiliating relegation to the Championship.
However, Allardyce hasn’t exactly proved a popular candidate among the Everton faithful, with the majority going into meltdown on social media after hearing he was linked to the job.
But you can rest easy if you support the blue half of Merseyside, with Allardyce confirming on TalkSPORT this morning that he’s spent the last two days in Scotland… not in talks with Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri:
“I wouldn’t be here if I was talking to Everton!”

Allardyce has also been linked with the Rangers job north of the border in recent weeks, following Pedro Caixinha’s sacking last month.
Do his comments on visiting Scotland hint he may have had a conversation with the Ibrox hierarchy?
Guess we will have to wait and see!
