Ross McCrorie has shared his delight after scoring his first Rangers goal.
The youngster kept his place in Graeme Murty’s starting XI after playing well in the 3-1 win over Hearts at Murrayfield last week.
He formed a good partnership with Danny Wilson in that game and they picked up where they left off in a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle at Ibrox this afternoon.
But McCrorie wasn’t just stopping the goals, he was scoring them too – heading home Rangers’ first of the afternoon to get them on the way to the three points.
He spoke to Rangers TV after the game to share his delight:
McCrorie has now made eight appearances for Rangers since breaking into the first team in September – and everything points towards him having a big career for club and country.
With Rangers winning under Murty, you wonder if he’ll stick with McCrorie and Wilson or restore Fabio Cardoso and Bruno Alves to the team.
The Portuguese pair were the preferred centre back partnership under Caixinha, but suspension and injury has led to them losing their places to give McCrorie and Wilson their opportunities.
