Thierry Henry was taken aback by a fan who asked for his autograph this week and then promised the ex-Arsenal striker that he would make it permanent at a tattoo parlour.
The former France international is currently in China, having spent some time with Shanghai SIPG boss Andre Villas-Boas.
However, before returning back to England ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, the Sky Sports pundit ran into a remarkably loyal fan who wanted his signature… but with a twist.
Henry Zhu approached the World Cup winner and asked for the “most unusual and memorable” autograph that Henry has signed throughout his career.
Henry took to Instagram to post pictures of his meeting with Zhu, along with a caption where he explained the Arsenal supporter was to get a tattoo in his honour:
Henry followed that up with a video, of the tattoo being done:
And finally, the 40-year-old showed off Zhu’s finished piece:
Would you get a tattoo of your favourite player’s signature, if given the chance?
