Fury hasn’t fought for two years after testing positive for a banned steroid back in 2016, with the former world heavyweight champion claiming the adverse result came from eating uncastrated wild boar.
His time on the sidelines have resulted in Fury admitting he’s currently in the worst shape of his life, as he battles the punishment administered by UK Anti-Doping.
Interestingly though, despite promoter Eddie Hearn since confirming the 28-year-old will fight Deontay Wilder next year, AJ still decided to take a shot at Fury on Twitter:
& @Tyson_Fury get fit you fat fuck
— Anthony Joshua (@anthonyfjoshua) November 9, 2017
Fury was unlikely to take the insult well, especially giving his previous for getting involved in a war of words with opponents on social media.
And he lived up to that reputation once more this afternoon, as he posted this video to his Instagram account, claiming he wouldn’t need to get fit to fight “the weightlifter”:
Would Fury be the perfect warm-up opponent before Joshua takes on Wilder next year?
