Celtic Fan Pops the Question in Front of Brother Walfrid Statue Before Game v Aberdeen

A Celtic fan popped the question in front of the Brother Walfrid statue outside the club’s stadium before their game against Aberdeen this afternoon.

Hoops fan Paul is at the game alongside his now fiancee to watch Brendan Rodgers’ men face off in a battle between the top two teams in the Scottish Premiership.

And we doubt she expected to leave the game with a new ring on her finger – but that’s what happened as he got down on one knee in front of the statue to ask for her hand in marriage.

For any Celtic fans, this might just be the dream:

They’ll be even more happy with their afternoon now that Celtic are leading Aberdeen 1-0 thanks to Mikael Lustig’s deflected strike from the edge of the box to open the scoring.

If Celtic manage to hold on to or extend that lead, they’ll move eight points clear of the Dons at the top of the Premiership table and set themselves up for a big week which sees them go up against Dundee on Boxing Day before a clash with rivals Rangers next weekend.
