Every Arsenal Fan Wants to See Dennis Bergkamp Return After Ajax Sacking

Ajax have sacked manager Marcel Keizer and his assistant Dennis Bergkamp this evening, leaving the door open for Arsenal to bring one of the best player’s in their history back to the Emirates.

Bergkamp has been working behind the scenes at Ajax since 2011, having originally been appointed as an assistant to Frank de Boer.

However, with de Godenzonen failing to win the Dutch Eredivisie since 2014, the club have decided to get rid of the man who helped bring five major honours to the Johan Cruyff Arena during his playing days.

Not that the Arsenal fans are too upset, with the majority clearly keen to see the Dutchman return to north London as a coach:

Bergkamp joined Arsenal from Inter Milan in 1995, with the 48-year-old going on to make over 315 appearances for the club until his eventual retirement in 2006.

The midfielder won three Premier League titles and three FA Cups during his Arsenal career, a CV which surely make him the ideal candidate, if Arsene Wenger was looking to strengthen his backroom staff.
