When Wilshere was just a youngster looking to break into the Gunners’ first-team, Rosický was one of Arsene Wenger’s go-to midfielders in his starting XI, and he learned a lot from the former Czech Republic international.
The 37-year-old, who began and ended his career at Sparta Prague, had been plagued by injuries over the last decade of so, and he went on to win two FA Cups in a 10-year spell with the Gunners after joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2006.
He obviously had a pretty big influence in Wilshere’s development – judging by the message posted today:

Like most of us, Rosicky will no doubt be touched by the heartfelt message posted by Wilshere, and when you consider all of the amazing midfielders Arsenal have had over the years, it’s easy to forget just how influential and skillful he was.
