John Hartson Provides An Update on Liam Miller’s Cancer Battle

Former Celtic striker John Hartson has provided an update on Liam Miller‘s cancer battle, with the Irishman ‘determined’ to keep on fighting.

Back in November, we told you how the football community was rallying around the former Hoops, Manchester United, Leeds and Hibs midfielder following the news of his diagnosis, and rumours that the prognosis didn’t look good.

Miller, still only 36, broke into Martin O’Neill’s Celtic first-team back in 2003, scoring several high-profile goals including against Lyon and Anderlecht in the Champions League group stages, and he shared a dressing room with Hartson for several seasons.

Of course, Hartson has endured his own battle with cancer and would seem like the perfect man to deliver some inspirational guidance, as he revealed on Twitter today:

At this time of year, we can’t even begin to imagine what Liam and his family are going through.

Stay strong, Liam – every football fan in Scotland is behind you!
