Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is not only catching the eye in Scotland, but he’s also making waves in the continent too, after being selected in a prestigious UEFA list.
Every year, European football’s governing body compiles a squad of young players aged 24 or under who have ‘made a major leap’ in the Champions League this season, and Scotland left-back Tierney has made the grade.
To put the achievement into context, he’s joined by Man City goalkeeper Ederson, Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo, budding Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio – and even Kylian Mbappé.

Of course, fans in Scotland – and scouts in the English Premier League – have known of Tierney’s ability and promise for some time now, but to be thrown into such a remarkable list speaks volumes about his progress as a player, doesn’t it?
What do you think of the achievement? And will this make it more difficult for Celtic to hold onto him next summer?
