Liverpool Fans Are Pretty Sick and Tired of Emre Can at the Minute

Emre Can was chosen to start in Liverpool‘s midfield against Swansea City this afternoon but his performance hasn’t gone down too well with the Reds’ supporters.

The German international has been embroiled in a contract stand-off with the club’s hierarchy for a while now, and as soon as January 1 hits, he can negotiate with foreign clubs over signing a pre-contract to join in the summer of 2018.

Perhaps that has contributed to some of the backlash that has poured out on social media this afternoon, with many fans accusing him of being lazy, shoddy, annoyingly slow and, to be perfectly honest, just not good enough to be the man at the centre of Jurgen Klopp’s all-action midfield.

What do you think of the response to his display today? With Liverpool winning, has he really been as bad as everybody is making out?

What do you think?
