Motherwell Fans Absolutely Heartbroken as Louis Moult Agrees Preston Switch

Motherwell have finally agreed to sell top scorer Louis Moult, with Championship side Preston set to sign the striker for an undisclosed fee… and fans are heartbroken.

Moult moved to Fir Park from Wrexham in the summer of 2015 and has become a strong fan-favourite during his two years in Scotland.

However, the 25-year-old’s form in recent seasons has rightfully attracted interest from other clubs, with Moult bagging 50 goals in 98 appearances for the Steelmen.

While the Englishman has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury, Motherwell insist he remains available for selection prior to completing his move on January 1.

Not that this news is helping the club’s fans come to terms with losing their prize asset:

Moult had been linked with a switch to Rangers in the summer, while Pedro Caixinha was looking to strengthen his squad.

However, a move failed to materialise and the managerial confusion at Ibrox has allowed Preston to snap up the front man.
