Plenty of Liverpool Fans Seem Pretty Happy Sadio Mane Has Been Dropped Today

Liverpool went into today’s match against Swansea City looking to keep the heat on their top-four rivals but they did it without the talents of Sadio Mane – and it seems a lot of supporters were pretty pleased with the decision.

Usually a key player in the Liverpool starting XI, Jurgen Klopp decided to drop the Senegal winger to the bench instead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who enjoyed a decent match against Arsenal on Friday night.

Given the fact he has been a fan favourite ever since arriving from Southampton, and an anointed member of the so-called new ‘Fab Four’, leaving Mane on the bench could be seen as something of a surprise and a potentially controversial decision – but the reaction on social media seems pretty positive:

What do you think of the decision? Is a game or two outside of the starting XI perhaps exactly what Mane needed as a kick up the backside to help him rediscover his best form?
