Robbie Savage Trolls England as They Avoid Iceland… Everyone on Twitter Bites

Robbie Savage grasped the opportunity to poke fun at England after this afternoon’s World Cup draw, only for everyone on Twitter to fire back the same response – ‘who did Wales get?’

The former Blackburn player spent his entire playing career in England and covers English teams in his role as a pundit for BBC and BT Sport.

However, despite spending the majority of his time talking about the Premier League, Savage couldn’t help but aim a sly dig at the national team, after Gareth Southgate’s side drew Belgium, Panama and Tunisia.

Savage was clearly making reference to the Three Lions humiliating 2-1 defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016, when he sent this Tweet:

As you’d expect, it didn’t take long for England fans to respond to Savage’s jibe, with everyone asking who Savage’s Wales drew in the group stages.

The Welsh failed to qualify after losing at home to the Republic of Ireland:

England fans will be feeling confident as they look toward who they could have drawn, with Group B perceived as the classic ‘group of death’, featuring Portugal, Spain, Morocco and Iran.
