Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard experienced the ups-and-downs of top-flight football in the matter of just a few minutes this afternoon as he missed an awful sitter, before scoring a pretty tasty flick.
After a stunning free-kick from midfielder Steven Defour, United found themselves 2-0 down at half-time to an organised and confident Burnley side and it looked like it could be a long way back for Jose Mourinho’s men.
However, the Red Devils were roared on by the Old Trafford crowd in the opening stages of the second-half and they soon got a response, with United tearing open the Burnley defence – only for Lingard to somehow miss from a yard out:
It's just as well Lingard scored that because this was both a terrible miss and a great save pic.twitter.com/si5KengVxz

Give him his due, just a minute or two later, he did manage to get on the score-sheet, and it was a pretty slick finish too:

That’s five goals and two assists – and one sitter -in his last seven matches for Lingard – not too bad going, eh?
What do you think?
