Video: Barry Ferguson Calls Stories About Rangers Return ‘A Lot of Nonsense’

Barry Ferguson has distanced himself from stories linking him with a return to Rangers, describing the speculation as ‘a lot of nonsense’.

As we told you earlier this week, former Gers captain Ferguson was reportedly wanted by Derek McInnes to be part of his backroom staff at Ibrox, should the Aberdeen boss jump ship and take the reins.

McInnes’s departure from the Dons seems to be imminent, with Rangers confirmed to have finally made an official approach, but Ferguson claims to have heard absolutely nothing from anybody in regards to returning to his old stomping ground.

Ferguson, who has been out of a job since quitting as Clyde manager last year, was grilled by Peter Martin ahead of his appearance on tonight’s Peter & Roughie Show on STV2:
