Video: Brendan Rodgers Congratulates His Celtic Players After 4-0 Defeat to Hearts

Brendan Rodgers watched helplessly from the sidelines as his Celtic side were beaten 4-0 by Hearts at Tynecastle – but went on to congratulate his players after the final whistle.

The Hoops travelled to Edinburgh looking to make it an incredible 70 domestic matches without tasting defeat but goals from 16-year-old Harry Cochrane, Kyle Lafferty and a double from Manuel Milinkovic sealed an astonishing 4-0 victory for the Jambos in-front of their jubilant supporters.

Celtic simply weren’t at the races this afternoon but rather than criticise his under performing stars, Rodgers decided to give them a pat on the back, and congratulate them on their historic run:

The result now means Celtic are just two points clear of Aberdeen, albeit with a game in-hand, but what do you think of Rodgers’ reverse psychology?

And could today’s result mean we might actually have a title race back on in Scottish football once again?
