The BT Sport pundit didn’t hold back as he delivered his thoughts after Rangers’ 2-1 defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this afternoon.
Not only did Rangers lose, they were very poor with and without the ball, unable to get near an impressive Killie side for much of the game.
And it’s the performance which is making fans understandably angry as well as the disappointing defeat.
Murty was just yesterday confirmed as the manager until the end of the season, but there was no bump for the players as they lost just a week after going down to St Johnstone at Ibrox.
According to Sutton, the Rangers board have hung Murty out to dry – and it’s only going to get worse moving forward:
"Rangers midfield were like schoolboys!"

There’s no doubt that Murty has a big job on to bring some consistency to Rangers and he’ll have to make an impact in January in order to strengthen the team.
But is he capable of doing that?
