David de Gea is a goalkeeping god – and his performance against Arsenal just confirmed that.
The Spanish goalkeeper only had to watch on as his side blitzed the Gunners in the opening 15 minutes of this evening’s English Premier League game.
Antonio Valencia opened the scoring for United before Jesse Lingard fired home a second for Jose Mourinho’s men minutes later.
And those goals made it a comfortable 2-0 lead for the visitors at half-time at the Emirates.
But the start of the second half was much different, with Arsenal pressurising their opponents before scoring through Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsene Wenger’s men really took it to United in the opening 15 minutes of the second half before Lingard scored a second to take the pressure.
The fact the visitors didn’t concede is simply down to the quality of de Gea.
This double save from Lacazette and then Alexis Sanchez was the pick of the bunch in a busy period for the Spanish number one:
Is he the best goalkeeper in football? On this evidence, we’d definitely say so!
