Former QPR and Rangers midfielder Joey Barton claims that if England can’t qualify from Group G, their players shouldn’t be allowed to re-enter the country.
England were drawn against Belgium, Panama and Tunisia in this afternoon’s draw in Russia.
And while Belgium will surely pose a threat, with Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku among their squad, the majority of English fans will surely be feeling optimistic of making it to the knock-out stages.
In fact, Barton believes the group is so weak that Southgate’s men shouldn’t be allowed back into the country if they fail to make it to the next round.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, alongside ex-Newcastle and Tottenham midfielder David Ginola, Barton stated he wants England to qualify with style despite Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry knowing the English players well:

England were knocked out of Euro 2016 by minnows Iceland, who have more volcanoes in their country than professional footballers.
On that evidence, perhaps England fans should be very wary of lesser known teams like Panama and Tunisia?
