Video: Michael Owen Reckons This is Brendan Rodgers’ Last Season at Celtic

Michael Owen reckons this will be Brendan Rodgers‘ last season at Celtic, with the ex-Liverpool striker claiming the Northern Irish coach will soon grow ‘tired’ of bossing the Hoops.

Owen was speaking as part of the BT Sport panel reviewing the draw for the Europa League last-32, in which Celtic have been paired with Russia giantsĀ Zenit Saint Petersburg, following their group stage efforts in the Champions League.

Of course, Rodgers oversaw an historic ‘Invincible’ campaign last season, but Owen claims all of the medals and glory isn’t enough to keep a coach like him stimulated – and even went as far as to claim he could be back in the Premier League as soon as the summer:

Owen made his European debut at Celtic Park as bright-eyed teenager in the 1990s, and he’s spoken of his affection for the Glasgow club in the past, but it doesn’t take an expert to realise this won’t go down well with Hoops supporters.

What do you make of his comments? Could he be right?
