The 22-year-old was on target against Besiktas this evening, as the Bundesliga side bowed out of the tournament at the group stage off the back of a 2-1 defeat, with Keita’s goal undoubtedly the Germans’ highlight of the 90 minutes:
The Guinea international has already agreed a £48 million transfer to Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer of 2018, after the Reds spent most of last summer actively chasing the dribbling midfielder.
However, Leipzig stayed strong and refused to budge, meaning Keita will see out one more season in the Bundesliga before moving to Anfield.
And if he’s been at all distracted by the off-field drama, he isn’t showing it one bit.
Just how big a signing could Keita prove to be next season?
