Video: We Need to Talk About Anthony Martial’s Touch For Jesse Lingard Goal

We really need to talk about Anthony Martial’s touch to set up Jesse Lingard‘s goal against Arsenal this evening.

Manchester United would have been expecting a tough match at the Emirates given the Gunners’ recent strong form, but it didn’t turn out that way in the first 12 minutes as they blitzed their way to a 2-0 lead.

Antonio Valencia was the man to kick off their strong start, running on to Paul Pogba’s pass before firing below Petr Cech and into the net.

And United found themselves 2-0 just minutes later when Lingard went through on goal to slot home via the post.

It was a great finish from Lingard, but it’s really all about the touch from Martial to set up the chance. Just take a look at this:

That is a sublime touch from Martial, which ensured Lingard didn’t have to break his stride before hitting the back of the net. Outstanding!

Now, can United hold on to their lead or even go on and add to it?
