Adebayo Akinfenwa Hints He May Play With Alexandre Lacazette and Antoine Griezmann

Adebayo Akinfenwa might have both Arsenal and Atletico Madrid fans worried tonight, after the Wycombe Wanderers star claimed Alexandre Lacazette and Antoine Griezmann want to play alongside him.

Yes, amidst plenty of transfer speculation this month, the 35-year-old striker has looked to stir the pot via his Instagram page, with a picture of the three players together at last night’s NBA in London event.

Akinfenwa is of course a well-recognised journeyman of lower league football in England, having played for 13 different clubs during his career.

And while it’s incredibly unlikely either Arsenal or Atleti would entertain an offer from Wycombe for either of their France internationals, it would be a brave man who told Akinfenwa no.

Until recently, the man nicknamed ‘the Beast’, was the strongest player in FIFA:

 

Griezmann may not be leaving La Liga for England’d League Two, however, there are reports that he could be of interest to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Lacazette’s long-term future rests at the Emirates, although that of Alexis Sanchez seems far more uncertain.
