Arsenal Become the First Football Team to Partner with a Cryptocurrency

Arsenal have become the first football team in the UK to officially partner with a digital cryptocurrency, with the North London club teaming up with CashBet Coin.

With Bitcoin becoming more and more common in today’s high-tech digital age, it was only a matter of time before one of the Premier League’s cash-rich members go in on the act.

CashBet Coin is designed specifically with iGaming in mind, with the company looking to offer what they call an ‘ICO’ of their cryptocurrency, where they make an initial coin offering to the public.

It’s not yet been publicised just how lucrative the deal is for the Arsenal, but the agreement will give the CashBet Coin brand prominent placement via in-stadium advertising channels for the club’s home Premier League games at Emirates Stadium.

Last week, we told you how Manchester United had unveiled their very own official tractor partnership – and now this!

What on Earth is happening to football, eh?
