Arsenal Fans Are Raging at the Prospect of Selling Oliver Giroud to Chelsea

Oliver Giroud appears to be on the brink of signing for Chelsea – and Arsenal supporters are spitting feathers at the mere prospect of the transfer.

Chelsea have been known to be in the market for a tall and imposing striker since the transfer window opened, with moves for Edin Džeko and Andy Carroll falling short.

They’ve been linked with Gunners striker Giroud for the last week or so, with the Frenchman looking to secure more first-team football ahead of the World Cup this summer.

And the Daily Star are claiming a £15 million fee has been agreed between the two London clubs for Giroud’s services – and Gooners everywhere are absolutely furious.

He might not always be the first name on the team-sheet but it seems Giroud’s flashes of brilliance have turned him into a cult figure amongst supporters:

What do you think of the impending deal? Will it be a blow to Arsenal? And should they really be doing business with a close rival?
