Chris Sutton has poked fun at a Rangers fan who is keen to know when the club will parade the Florida Cup that they haven’t even won.
Graeme Murty’s squad are now back in Scotland after spending the last week out in the United States during the Premiership winter break.
They took part in the Florida Cup alongside Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians, winning both of their games with decent displays.
It seemed like they were set to become champions at the end of their fixtures, but the odd format of the Cup meant they had to rely on other games elsewhere to find out if they’d win it.
And Barcelona SC’s victory over Fluminense means they’ll be crowned champions once all of the games are completed.
One Rangers fan appeared confused by it all, still thinking this morning that Rangers had won it, and contacted the club’s Twitter account to find out when the trophy would be paraded.
Sutton saw that and thought he’d poke some fun at the supporter:
Rangers fans probably won’t see the funny side of that given Sutton is regularly critical of their team – and he’s a former Celtic player of course.
