Eliaquim Mangala is Being Destroyed By Man City Fans on Twitter

Eliaquim Mangala is being absolutely slaughtered by Manchester City supporters on social media tonight following his first-half performance against Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.

The Frenchman has struggled to find a regular spot in Pep Guardiola’s first-team this season, but given the Sky Blues are playing tonight’s first-leg semi-final at home, and to a team from the Championship, you’d have thought the £32 million centre-back would cope OK, right?

Well, in the last few moments of the first period, his sloppy pass was intercepted, which led to Bristol being awarded a penalty kick for a foul on Bobby Reid, which was coolly dispatched by into the bottom corner by Reid himself.

There’s a second-leg at Ashton Gate, and the tie is far from over, but Man City fans seem to have seen enough of Mangala’s dodgy display already:

He’s never really convinced at the top level since arriving at City in the summer of 2014 and surely Pep must be looking at upgrading him soon, eh?

What do you think?
