Docherty was unveiled as Graeme Murty’s sixth January signing late last night, with the Ibrox club handing the ex-Hamilton ace a four-and-a-half year deal.
And while it’s difficult to tell whether the 21-year-old will be involved in this weekend’s game against Ross County, Docherty admits he’s already getting settled with his new team-mates… particularly Rossiter.
Rossiter has been plagued with injury problems since signing for the club from Liverpool in 2016, but he put those troubles to one side to give Docherty a “proper” welcome to Rangers:
GD: Jordan Rossiter got me with a great tackle in training, a proper welcome to Rangers despite me doing a couple of somersaults!

Could it be a case of Rossiter looking to stake his claim and get one over Docherty in the race to become the club’s up and coming midfield maestro?
And does the fact that Murty’s squad is now stacked with young and ambitious players give Rangers an edge in the second half of the season?
