Jamie Carragher might want to delete his tweet about Liverpool not selling Philippe Coutinho in January.
The Sky Sports pundit provided his opinion on the saga involving the Reds’ star man and Barcelona at the beginning of this month’s transfer window.
Carragher tweeted that it would make most sense for the club to agree a big fee with Barca before allowing Coutinho to join the La Liga giants in the summer.
But that’s not going to happen now after widespread reports this evening that the clubs have agreed a £142million fee for the Brazilian’s transfer.
Carragher also tweeted earlier this week that Liverpool just would not sell Coutinho in January.
And that’s now being retweeted for fun by supporters – most of whom we imagine aren’t Liverpool fans:
No way @LFC agree to sell in the middle of the season.

Carragher might want to delete that tweet.
Coutinho is now on his way to Barcelona ahead of sealing the move to the Catalan giants and that’s a big signing for Ernesto Valverde’s men as they look to compete on every front in the second half of the season.
