Graeme Murty’s side went up against the Brazilian outfit in the Florida Cup in the early hours of this morning.
And they managed to produce a 1-0 victory, courtesy of some hard work and Josh Windass’ lovely finish in the second half.

Of course, Murty chopped and changed his team throughout, starting with a mix of young and experienced while also handing debuts to new January signings Murphy and Goss.
But how did they do? Based on the Twitter reviews of the game, both Murphy and Goss were impressive – despite playing for just 45 minutes:
It’s a friendly almost in the middle of the night against a Brazilian team apparently not playing full team, but it’s a good start for both players and that bodes well for the second half of the season for Rangers.
They play Corinthians at the weekend before returning to Scotland to start their Scottish Cup campaign against minnows Fraserburgh.
So both Murphy and Goss have until at least January 24th to get accustomed to their new teammates before they taken on Aberdeen in a big Scottish Premiership game at Ibrox.
