Kieran Tierney has called Conor McGregor the “GOAT” after the MMA fighter trained in a Hoops jersey worn by the 21-year-old defender.
McGregor has made no secret about his love for Celtic in the past, having hailed the club’s fans for an impressive banner during their Champions League qualifier against Astana last year.
And the 29-year-old appeared to take his fascination with the Scottish champions to the next level this week, as he was photographed wearing the club’s famous green and white jersey during a training session.

When the pictures first emerged, most fans speculated that it was a shirt that he’d been given by one of the first-team.
With Tierney having now confirmed that he gave the UFC lightweight champion the match-worn jersey.
The Scotland international went on to call McGregor the ‘GOAT’, an acronym for the “greatest of all time”:
It even appears that Tierney signed the Celtic shirt before giving it to the fighter…
Not a bad celebrity double-act right there!
