The German international is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, meaning he can no negotiate a free-transfer with clubs outside of England, and that’s led to heavy speculation that he’ll move to Juventus.
But earlier today, speaking via Sky Sports, Can denied having agreed anything with the Italian giants and insisted he hasn’t signed any agreement with anybody, and that he could well stay at Anfield.
He said: “My agent is looking after everything but I am here until the summer. I haven’t signed anything (with Juventus) or anyone.
“I am talking with everyone, of course I am talking with Liverpool. Why not? I still have a contract here. It is an amazing club. What can I say? My agent does the rest.
“I just concentrate on my performance and the football. I will give everything for this team.”
So whilst he’s given Liverpool fans hope that he might remain a part of Jurgen Klopp’s long-term plans, the club’s supporters are now desperate for Fenway Sports Group to show him the money:
@LFC Please keep Emre Can Stay.Give him a new contract,And follow what he wants. We need a potential player like him.

People will think I’m crazy for saying this… but I think it’s more important Liverpool keep Emre Can than it was Coutinho… he’s a box to box played and in my opinion can become one of the best central midfielders in the world… #lfc

@BBCSport #bbcfootball we must keep Emre Can. He may not be consistent but has shown his ability many times (eg vs City). He offers a lot even when he is not having a blinder. Better invest on a quality keeper.

If @LFC can keep hold of Emre Can, that would be huge

my 2 cents on Emre Can? he is really good, i really want this to happen. So i keep in quiet since i don't want a heartbreak

Emre staying would be ideal on two fronts.
The first, (as yesterday once again proved) he can anchor our midfield adding strength, composure and an edge we often lack.
The second, we keep a player we’d otherwise lose for free and can use that money elsewhere in the squad.

Have to keep emre can at all costs

Hope @LFC can finalise a deal to keep Emre Can he is a very important player he would be a bigger lose than even the Captain would rather LFC sell Hendo.

The more I watch yesterday's game the more gutted I am about losing Emre Can. Going to an absolute monster in midfield in the next few years as long as he can keep consistent. Shame to lose him.

What do you think of the situation? Should Liverpool give Emre Can absolutely everything he wants to remain on Merseyside?
